RESILION
- The Resilion Company was founded in 1927. Originally to produce a tough rubber saddle top.
- The Resilion Cantilever brake was introduced in 1929.
- Resilion alloy Cantilever products were all introduced post-war in 1948 - including alloy levers with locking mechanisms.
- Resilion steel hubs were introduced in the mid-1950s, and were commonplace on low to mid range bicycles.
- In 1954 the Resilion name was acquired by Phillips.
- The Resilion 3 speed 1/8" derailleur was introduced in 1954 - made by Phillips.
- The Resilion Crimson Star derailleur was introduced in 1958. It was very similar to the Benelux MK7 and was able to run a 1.8" or 3/32" chain.
- Sometime shortly after 1960, after Raleigh acquired the Phillips brand, the Resilion name disappears.
